Sie kennen sich schon seit ihren frühesten Sandkastentagen – eine Vertrautheit und Harmonie, die man ihren Songs deutlich anhört. Seit mehr als zwei Jahrzehnten machen Jan Hauke und Jascha Welzel nun schon gemeinsam Musik, die beide zu einer unzertrennlichen Einheit zusammengeschweißt hat. Nachdem sich das Solinger Folk-Pop-Duo in den vergangenen Jahren eine stetig wachsende Fan-Community erspielt hat, legen Jan & Jascha nun die erste Single aus ihrem kommenden Debütalbum „Liebes Leben“ vor!
Auf manche Dinge lohnt es sich, zu warten. So wie auf den ersten offiziellen Longplayer von Jan & Jascha. Bereits seit Kindesbeinen an musizieren die beiden besten Freunde zusammen, waren immer wieder in den verschiedensten Konstellationen aktiv und sind nach dem Release von diversen in Eigenregie produzierten CDs sogar während lokaler Gigs im Vorprogramm von Christina Stürmer oder Stefanie Heinzmann zu sehen gewesen. Seit 2014 sind die beiden blind aufeinander eingespielten als Duo unterwegs, das zusammen seinen großen Traum lebt: Gemeinsam Musik zu machen. Zuletzt waren sie auf 5 OpenAir Konzerten der Opener für die Kelly Family vor jeweils mehr als 10.000 Zuschauern. Als deutschsprachigen Folk-Pop beschreibt die Formation selbst ihren modernen Sound aus eingängigen Popharmonien und organischen Instrumenten wie Klavier oder Banjo, der von Jans eindringlichen Texten abgerundet wird.
Die beiden Musiker Jan Hauke und Jascha Welzel erzählen in ihren Songs Geschichten aus dem echten Leben: Themen wie Freundschaft und Liebe haben dabei ebenso ihren festen Platz, wie Abenteuerlust und Fernweh, nostalgische Kindheitserinnerungen, der immerwährende Drang nach Freiheit und kreativem Ausdruck, oder die Besinnung aufs Wesentliche und die dringend nötige Entschleunigung in dieser schnelllebigen Zeit. Immer durchzogen von einem positiven Grundgedanken.
Positives Denken, das Jan & Jascha auch auf ihrer offiziellen Debütsingle „Geschichte schreiben“ transportieren – einem sofort packenden Ohrwurm über neue Anfänge und den Mut, seine Träume zu verwirklichen. Luftig-leichte Gitarrenklänge verbinden sich mit modernen Beats zu einem echten Ohrwurm mit Sommerhitqualitäten. „Im Grunde geht es darum, auf sein Herz zu hören“, erklärt Jascha. „Es gibt Entscheidungen im Leben, in denen man einfach seinem Bauchgefühl folgen und sich auf das konzentrieren sollte, was einen glücklich macht. So wie im Falle von uns beiden: Wir sind unfassbar glücklich, unseren großen Traum leben und gemeinsam Musik machen zu können. Selbst, wenn es manchmal auch mit vielen Entbehrungen einher ging, haben wir diesen Schritt bisher in keiner Sekunde bereut. Wir machen jeden Tag neue Erfahrungen und werden immer kreativer, je länger wir diesen Weg gehen dürfen. Genau diese Botschaft möchten wir auch unseren Hörern vermitteln: Das Leben ist viel zu kurz, um sich mit negativen Dingen herum zu ärgern. Deshalb sollte man keine Angst haben, sich selbst zu verwirklichen und seinen ganz persönlichen Weg zu gehen.“
Momentan arbeiten Jan & Jascha gemeinsam mit Produzent Ivo Moring (Matthias Reim, Beatrice Egli, Christina Stürmer) an ihrem für den Herbst geplanten Debütalbum „Liebes Leben“. Die erste Single „Geschichte schreiben“ ist ab dem 05. Juli 2019 im Radio, als Stream und digitaler Download verfügbar.
György Kurtág, 93, ranks among the great living composers of classical modernism. Consistently shortening and accentuating his works, he perfected his aphoristic style, producing concise miniatures.
This new album is dedicated to previously unreleased works by Kurtág, presenting for the first time twenty-two movements after Georg Christoph Lichtenberg's Sudelbücher, scored for soprano and double bass: a real discovery of aphorisms. Also based on literary models are his Scenes from a Novel, Op. 19, after fifteen poems by Rimma Dalos (soprano, violin, cimbalom, double bass). The Seven Songs, Op. 22 (soprano, cimbalom) and In Memory of a Winter Evening, Op. 8 (soprano, violin, cimbalom), appear for the first time on CD.
This thoughtfully compiled collection shows the Hungarian master as one of the most individual artistic voices of our time.
The four internationally renowned soloists, here in the original and charming formation of soprano, violin, cimbalom and double bass, interpret some of the most densely wrought pieces by György Kurtág.

Tiny Wolves "Free Fallin'" live auf dem Orange Blossom Special Festival 2019.
"And I'm free - free fallin' - yeah I'm free - free fallin'" - Glitterhouse Records is more than happy to show you the first single by the Tiny Wolves. „Free Fallin‘“ is an amazing acoustic cover version of Tom Pettys' all time classic sung by 50 kids (!) aged from 8-11. This choir is led by ex-Intro columnist and elementary teacher Kristof Beuthner. The idea is to reimangine unforgettable songs originally written by artists like Tom Petty, Travis, Keane or Oasis for instance. The kids decide which songs they want to play. Together with Kristof they translate the lyrics and start rehearsing. In 2018 the Tiny Wolves shot their first music video with Hamburg based artist OVE. In June they played their first festival show at the Orange Blossom Special Festival in Beverungen, Germany in front of 3.500 people!

Zwiegespräche is a meeting of spirits. “We compose the same way,” said György Kurtág to Heinz Holliger on hearing this recording, which emphasises works for oboe by these two major composers. Both of them reference the entire history of music in their pieces, both incorporate dedications and messages to friends and colleagues in the fabric of their work, and both draw upon literature as an inspirational source. Both, moreover, love the miniature as an expressive form; short pieces by Kurtág and Holliger are interwoven. Holliger’s sequence Airs (2015/6) is inspired by seven texts by Swiss poet Philippe Jaccottet, whose voice is heard here. The release of Zwiegespräche is timely. Heinz Holliger turned 80 on May 21, his creativity as composer and his resourcefulness as instrumentalist undimmed. The album concludes with Holliger’s Sonate für Oboe solo, composed in 1956, and still played by its author with absolute authority.
